How can you find out if you are projecting the wrong messages to those around you? Where can you get the information to ensure you will send out the appropriate messages for the required situation? This is where Debourah the Colour Lady can help you.

I am a trained Colour and Image Consultant, certified in 1989. A member of the Image Institute, I have been working in the Image and Beauty industry for over twenty years. I will assist you in understanding and coordinating the personal factors which make up your appearance. Each of us is very special and different. We certainly have our own individuality and flair which I respect so that we can work together to create your best First Impression!

WHY?

How you present yourself is an important part of who you are. Your first impression is as vital to you as to those around you. When you move into a room full of strangers they are judging you as much as you are judging them. Before you have even spoken a word with any of them haven't you reached certain decisions about them, formed initial opinions as to their trustworthiness, slotted them into preconceived sociological categories, etc.?

WHY IS THIS SO?

It's because the first impression they project is what you analyse first, a natural defensive mechanism. It's true - you can't (and shouldn't) judge the proverbial book by its cover - but we do. Your personal appearance constantly sends out messages that are interpreted by those around you. So why project an inappropriate image? Can you afford to send out the wrong impression? COLOUR

Let's start with your colouring. Half of your overall image relates to colour. Get that part right and you're half way on the road to success. Everyone has their own unique and special colour harmony that nature provided. How would you like to use that special colour harmony to your advantage? By wearing correct colours and shades that harmonize with your own special colouring you can look more healthy and fit, accent your strengths and distract from any weaknesses. As your personal Colour Consultant I will give you an opportunity to understand colour to your best advantage so you will avoid expensive mistakes when you buy your clothing and make-up. After all, colour is a no cost item - it costs no more to buy the right colour than it does the wrong. So why sabotage your first impression. WARDROBE

The second half of your image following colour is Style and Body Shape. This is your outside line. Your patterns and accessories or personal style usually mimic your inside line which is your Face Shape. Along with this you have your own personal flair to take into consideration. These are just guidelines as I have said before. You are very special and different and have your own individuality and personal flair. Again, I respect that and we work together to develop your special styles, fabrics, patterns and colours. As a special service I can review your current wardrobe and advise you in clothing coordination. By appointment I can also accompany you to clothing boutiques to advise the best garments to purchase for the image you desire.

Here Debourah the Colour Lady will treat you as the special individual you really are. I personalise everything your colours and style by analysing your skin, hair and eyes. Firstly to establish whether your natural colour is cool or warm. Because we are all so different and special - we all have different eye, skin and hair colour combinations, we cannot be categorised in just the 4 basic spring, summer, autumn or winter seasonal selections. In fact with the advanced colour system I use you will be accurately placed in just one of a possible 60 summer, 64 winter, and 124 spring and autumn seasonal categories. With this knowledge I can work with a colour wheel to determine your best skin, hair and eye colour intensifiers and enhancers. This will bring your individuality right out to the forefront.
